The BIOMOD success story !
This was a tremendous effort from ‘Team Sendai’. Before they embarked on this journey having travelled led over 8,000 Kms. to a clock ticking differently, in far away San Francisco, they literally burnt the midnight oil. There has been days when the team worked worked continuously for 48 hours in the lab with a 02-hour break. The passion for research and the focus on the goals made this small team look larger than life.
Winning the Gold in the Project Award was the reward for this tremendous effort. The other prizes won by Team Sendai include :
- Overall 2nd Prize
- Best Video
- Best Website
- Director’s Prize for best use of Game Engine and
- Project Award – Gold
Winning 05 top prizes, in a prestigious global science competition where 30 teams from 30 top ranked Universities from respective countries competed and vied for the top honours is a commendable achievement, which will take all the Team members places from here on. The support the team received from their University (Tohoku University) and the professors and all other support staff needs to be acknowledged from the core of the heart.
